Sajad holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering-Biotechnology from Iran with 3 years of experience in the chemical and petrochemical industries. His previous academic experience includes teaching assistantships as well as research assistantships in chemical process simulation. Additionally, he has a strong background and experience in the application of bacteria to enhance chemical reactions. He has been studying Nanotechnology Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome since 2020 and is a member of the CLN2S 3D microfluidic Biofabrication Lab since 2022. The core of Sajad's interests are in biomaterial fabrication through novel additive manufacturing techniques such as 3D bioprinting and the development of systems for tissue engineering and the treatment of human disease. Most of his current effort is being invested in interdisciplinary work on the development of a low-cost and open-source hybrid 3D bioprinter for the simultaneous printing of stiff and soft inks. Also, he is a former professional basketball player and basketball coach and referee since 2016.
